Alice, a strong swimmer, entered the water. It was winter, the wind was strong and the waves were high. The sea was grey, cold and dangerous. Oliver watched in admiration from the beach. She was shivering when she came out of the water. She quickly dried herself and put her tracksuit on over her swinsuit.
“You did it” said Oliver. Alice enjoyed the moment. After all, he had laughed at her earlier and he had not believed that she would do it.
